This issue has a strong focus on experimental art/design websites and surprise surprise lots of flash. There are some great ideas ideas in particular the Lego site and all the links under the interactive category, they take a while to download but are definitely worth the wait.
The next issue of burst will feature some great links to ‘sound focused’ sites on the web, an element of interactive design that is often forgotten by many designers. I have a sneaking suspicion that it might be due to the lack of skills in developing our own soundtracks or the fact that purchasing sound files isn’t as easy as purchasing images. Don’t know? But I certainly didn’t get taught anything about sound at uni, but that was a while ago when the web was practically an embryo! and a lot has happened since then.
